Import his genealogy entered elsewhere (gedcom)

Import a new genealogy

  • Click on the Tree menu then on import a gedcom
  • You have information on how to create a gedcom.
  • Click on Select a file
  • Go on the folder where your gedcom is and click on it.
  • Click on Open
  • Click on Import
  • Wait until the file is download.
  • You can change the name of your genealogy and choose to have you tree public or private.
  • Click on Finish.

Update an existing genealogy

If you have character problems with the import of the gedcom on Filae, You need to export the genealogy in ANSI format in the original software, as Généatique. Import again to update the existing genealogy

Define the root of the tree (sosa 1) 


  • Open your genealogy
  • Click on the settings icon (on the top right next to the printer).
  • Click on Settings.

  • ·         Click on the person you want to modify on the source individual (sosa 1)

  • Enter at least one name to select the desired person.
  • Click ont the Save button.
On the same screen, you can also choose that the Sosa 1 appears when you open the tree.
